First Batleth Practice
Well, I would like to, and with great Honor, announce the completion of
the IKV Qin Vagh's first official Batleth practice.
The place was Krell's Forge, and the welcome mat was placed and we all
felt very welcome.
We had 11 warriors in attendance (That includes the Bear. Our youngest
warrior. He is a grand 6 months old and I could see the glint in his
eye thirsting for battle. It was that, or he had gone pooh in his
diaper, couldnt quite tell.....).
We stretched, practiced, talked, practiced some more, talked a little
more, worked on weapons, practiced, shot each other with a Nerf gun,
practiced, shot each other some more, talked and then much fellowship
and food followed. I took a really good hit directly in the eye, which
made me think just how out of practice I was.
We took pics and vids, taught the novices, ate Chili and had mucho fun!
All in all, it was a great day!!!
We will be holding a regular practice every other week from here on
out, and the location will be changing from practice to practice. We
will be moving it around so more people can come and join us for the
fellowship and fun!!
We will keep everyone posted as to locations with as much notice as we
can

Well, we did it,  had our first practice, and had a most excellent turnout.  There were 11 of us, including 3 newcomers and Shelly; our prodigal daughter (AND Bear of course!).  I was almost an hour late due to RL duties and church.  When I got there I was immediately challenged by our resident Orion slave girl Shelly.  I gave as good as I got I think, but she had a thing for my left nipple with the daktaq for some reason.  Then Krell had to get really sneaky and catch me napping at batleth.  Fell for the old look at your shoes trick.  Needless to say, age and treachery WILL get you EVERY time.  There was practice, BS, talking shop Klingon style, Chili with beans (Anyone seen my gas mask lately?), and weapons work and ship talk.  Will most likely have meetings while at practice, with special meetings called as needed; espially as tournament time in April gets closer.  All in all, was a VERY good first practice, with the promise of MANY more to come.  QAPLA'!!!
